Portrait or Personal Image - Aaron B Harcourt

Aaron Harcourt grew up in the small town of Alliston, one hour north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

At a young age Aaron had an interest in the visual arts. He started developing his skills through drawing and later progressed into painting. Throughout high school Aaron’s interest in the arts began to grow but the path which to take was unclear.

After he finished high school, Aaron traveled to Perth Australia to train under an organization called Youth With A Mission (YWAM). After completing two short term schools, including one that used the arts to reach people and seek healing, he moved back home to Canada.

After spending six month in Prince Edward Island Aaron began to use photography in promotional material at another YWAM centre. Although Aaron had only dabbled in photography during high school, he had no idea of the passion that was stirring for this art. Following his time in PEI, Aaron headed off to Kona, Hawaii to work with a photography ministry called photogenX. photogenX’s vision is to use photography to document injustice and bring about change through awareness.

Aaron began to travel the world with the ministry; leading teams, contributing to several publications, and using his own camera to capture the beauty, suffering, joy and truth of many nations.

He hopes to continue to use his gift to bring about lasting change.
